Pauline "Patty" (Haas) Sardella's Obituary
Pauline (Haas) Sardella, 88, of E. Syracuse, NY, passed away May 2, 2026, at Onondaga Center in Minoa. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Arthur and Mildred (Davis) Haas. Pauline (Patty) retired as branch manager from Seneca Federal and M&T Bank. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards and computer games, horse racing, and watching football and SU sports. Most importantly, Pauline loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, John in 2013; and her son, John Michael in 1982.
Pauline is survived by her 3 daughters, Patricia Pickard of Syracuse, Debra DeFio of Syracuse, and Susan (Paul) Dooling of Wake Forest, NC; 8 grandchildren, Brian (Beth) Pickard, Andrew Pickard, Jason DeFio, Janelle (Mike), John DeFio, Jameson (Danielle) DeFio, David and Allie Dooling; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and her brother, Norman Haas.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 11 – 11:45 am at Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse, NY, immediately followed by a funeral Mass in celebration of Pauline’s life at 12 pm at the church, with burial in Assumption Cemetery.
