Pearl (Miller) Smith's Obituary
Pearl M. Smith, 97, formerly of Williamsville, NY passed away peacefully on September 28, 2013. Mrs. Smith had resided on the tenth floor of the Loretto Cunningham skilled nursing facility since 2010. She was an avid bridge player, who loved knitting, crafting, doing puzzles and bingo. Mrs. Smith was born in Buffalo, NY on May 17, 1916, and was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Clarence F. Smith, in 1997. Together, they owned and operated the Hawthorne Wallpaper and Paint Company, formerly located on Genesee Street in Buffalo. Mrs. Smith was also employed by the Erie County Savings Bank in Amherst.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Smith) Frye, (Thomas) of Liverpool, NY and her grandson, Christopher Frye (Lynn) also of Liverpool, NY.
Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY on Wednesday, October 2nd from 3pm to 6pm with a funeral service to follow at 6pm.
