Peter J. Aversa's Obituary
Peter J. Aversa, 82, of Liverpool, passed away on Tuesday at the Francis House. He was born in Oswego, NY and served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Peter was employed with General Motors for 25 years and General Electric for several years. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. Peter loved playing chess, shooting pool and meeting with his breakfast club. He was predeceased by his 1st wife, Constance Elizabeth Aversa in 1990. Peter is survived by his current wife, Theresa (Bills) Aversa; children, Salvatore A. (Danielle) Aversa of Tennessee., Christina M. (Richard) Genninger of Denver, CO and Peter P. (Mary) Aversa of Fort Worth, TX; 6 grandchildren; brother, Joseph Aversa of Syracuse; sister-in-law, Mary Margaret Aversa of Lyncourt and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 9:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse and 10:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 to 4 pm. Contributions may be made to the Francis House, 108 Michael's Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13208.
