Peter N. Cerrone's Obituary
Peter N. Cerrone, 80, of Liverpool, passed away Thursday at Upstate University Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Benevento, Italy and came to the United States when he was 19 years old. Peter apprenticed as a Brick Layer with Pascale’s then moved on to tile and marble work for over 20 years before retiring from New Process Gear. He was a member of the IAAC Club for over 40 years. Peter enjoyed making wine and sausage, and gardening with his wife Anna. He was known as “Nonno” to everyone and was dedicated to his wife, children, and grandchildren, who meant everything to him.
He was predeceased by his parents, Antonio and Maria Nicolina (Ciarlo) Cerrone.
Peter is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Anna Maria (Aiello) Cerrone; his son, Anthony (Cheryl) Cerrone of Liverpool; two daughters, Mary Lou Cerrone of Liverpool and Lisa Cerrone of Liverpool; three grandchildren, Nicole, Lauren, and Peter Nicholas Cerrone; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 8:30 AM in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Peter’s life at 9:30 AM in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
