Peter C. Massaro's Obituary
Peter C. Massaro of Syracuse, NY, son of Anna and Patrick Massaro of Fulton, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones Wednesday, September 10th, 2014.
Born 1937, in Fulton, NY, Peter spent his teenage years in Brooklyn where he attended La Salle Military Academy of Long Island. He settled in Syracuse where he married his sweet heart, Lucille Talarico of 55 years.
A charismatic spirit and poet at heart, he was a parishioner of St. Cecilia’s Church and loved by many. A proud graduate of Syracuse University School of Engineering where he honed his passion and love for innovation.
Peter was a grandfather, father, husband, brother, a son, an uncle, a veteran, an engineer and an inventor. Peter created Trol-Mation, Inc. where he enjoyed every aspect of his work life for over 40 years as a civil engineer and an inventor of systems and new ideas. He bettered the world with his innovations that touched many, many people and families. Peter will always be remembered for his big smile and his passionate ways.
Peter is survived by his wife, Lucille A. Massaro of Syracuse, NY; his son, Patrick Massaro of Syracuse, NY; his daughters, Annine Massaro of Syracuse, NY, Angela Massaro of Syracuse, NY and Raffaella Massaro of Syracuse, NY; grandchildren, Rafael Drummond and Kendella Procks; brothers, Vincent Massaro (Roberta Massaro) of Camillus, NY; John Massaro (Elena Massaro) of Camillus, NY; Gregory Massaro (Elva Massaro) of Baldwinsville, NY and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12 pm Noon on Monday, September 15th, 2014 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a funeral mass in celebration of Peter’s life at 1:00 pm in St. Cecilia’s Church, 1001 Woods Rd. Solvay, NY. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 6:00 to 9:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
