Peter M. Peconi's Obituary
Peter M. Peconi, 87, of East Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse and was employed with Onondaga Beverage for 56 years. Peter was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid NY Yankees fan, Bocce player and a member of the Syracuse Bocce Club for over 30 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Grace (Logan) Peconi; his wife, Jennie (Fiumara) Peconi in 2012; daughter, Carol Duda in 1999 and sister, Theresa E. Bottino in 2012.
Peter is survived by his daughter, Lisa M. Boothe of East Syracuse; three grandchildren, Amy Smith of CT, Joshua (Stephanie) Duda of Memphis, NY, Alisha Boothe of East Syracuse; three great-grandchildren, Courtney Smith, Zachary Smith, and Brooke Hamn; a brother, John (Ann) Peconi) of Liverpool, three sisters, Lucy Hamilton of Solvay, Maryanne Aiello of Eastwood, and Kathy (Gene) Brant of Manlius; his brother-in-law, Ernest L. Bottino, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 8:00 A.M. in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 9:00 A.M. in St. Matthew's Church. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
