Peter J. Peparata's Obituary
Peter J. Peparata, 83, of Syracuse, passed away December 17, 2019 after a long battle with ALS. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Peter J. and Antoinette (Russo) Peparata. Peter worked construction as a heavy machine operator for the Operating Engineers Local Union #545 for over 50+ years in Syracuse. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, and was a SU sports fanatic plus loved watching football games. He loved baking, especially his Italian
cookies at the holidays to share with family and friends.
He is predeceased by his brother, Donato Peparata and sister, Rosemarie Mowins. Peter is survived by two daughters, Theresa (Daniel) Hart and Cheri (Joseph) Cecile; three grandchildren, Bryan (Siobhan) Hart, Jeff (Mary) Hart and Danielle Hart; four great-grandchildren, Claire, Andrew, Maeve and Benjamin, and his companion, Cathy Mucenski.
Funeral services will be held 8:30 am on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Peter’s life at 9:30 am in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Friday, December 20, 2019 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
