Peter J. Wolf's Obituary
Peter J. Wolf, 80, of Cicero, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at home, surrounded by his family after an almost 20-year battle with Multiple Myeloma. He was born in Chicago, IL to the late Peter J. Sr. and Grace (Dooley) Wolf and graduated with an Engineering degree from Marquette University. He mentored many within the engineering and hydraulics world throughout his career. Pete called several cities home in the Northeast, before planting roots in Cicero 45 years ago.
Those that knew Pete well enjoyed his comical nature and gracious spirit. He was an avid boater, in the Thousand Islands region, for the past 35 years. When not boating, he enjoyed spending time with his friends during the winter months and playing practical jokes on family and friends. Pete was always the person you went to with a problem; he knew how to fix it and as a bonus, would even pepper in some extra unsolicited advice.
Pete’s wishes were for those to remember him, not in sorrow, but rather to celebrate a life well lived. Cheers to his life.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Emily (Baer) Wolf; his daughters, Michele (Rick) DelBalso, Karen (Timothy) Bennett, and Jennifer Wolf (Mike Alletzhauser); his six grandchildren, Alexis and Mya DelBalso, Olivia Meyers, Landon Bennett, and Lily and Jack Alletzhauser.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse.
