Philip "Phil" Galuppi's Obituary
Philip “Phil” Galuppi, 83, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, March 20, 2016. Phil was born in Syracuse and was a self-employed truck driver through P&C for 33 years until retiring in 1990. After retirement he enjoyed working for several different Limo companies for many years. Phil loved life and had a knack for making people laugh and was always there to help when someone was in need. Phil loved spending time in his yard and tending to his gardens. When he wasn’t in his yard, he could be spotted in the casino or perhaps partaking in a poker game with any of his many blessed friends. He truly was a family man whose most important thing in life was his wife, children and grandchildren. Phil always put his family and friends first, and would never consider his needs before others. He will be missed by many and will never be forgotten.
Phil was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Helen Galuppi and brothers, Chubby and Kenny.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 60 years, Corrine (Giannuzzi) Galuppi; daughters, Cindy (Pat) Nappi, Sandy (Mike) Secreti and Sherry (Steve) Nugent; his son, Phil Galuppi. He was blessed with 8 grandchildren, Janel, Michael, Vincent, Jessica, Jamie, Ashley, Philip and Meghan and 1 great-granddaughter Korina; two brothers, James and Robert; his sister, Marilyn Ryan, along with many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to send special thanks to all of the fine folks at both Hospice and Francis House who helped both Phil and his family the past six months. Your compassion and kindness was appreciated.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of Phil’s life will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool.
