Philip Michael Oropallo's Obituary
Philip Michael Oropallo, 34, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019. He was born on August 14, 1985 to Philip and Bonnie (Bowman) Oropallo. Phil’s greatest accomplishment was the day he married the love of his life, Kasey (Jacobs) Oropallo and started his family. Phil’s spirit lives on through his beautiful children, Michael and Brooke. His sense of humor and pure love was a blessing to be around. He was always the life of the party and had a way to make everyone feel at home, even if he just met you. Phil worked alongside many of his family members, including his father, his best friend, “Duckey”, at Syracuse Flooring America. He was an amazing young man whose life was too short. He will be missed.
Phil is meeting his grandfather, Michael Patrick Oropallo, for the first time; grandmother, Ann Oropallo “Beaver Nan”; grandfather, Herman Bowman and uncles, Mike Oropallo and Tim Sprague in heaven.
In addition to his wife, children and parents, Phil is survived by his sister, Alison (Michael) Kerxhalli; a niece, Adrianna; two beloved grandmothers, Alice Bowman and Janet Bame; in-laws Chuck and Jackie Jacobs, Haley (Justin) Spivey; a nephew, Riley and niece, Bella; many aunts and uncles; along with numerous cousins who were like siblings and friends who were like family.
A funeral mass in celebration of Phil’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY.
In keeping with the spirit of Thanksgiving, Phil’s organs and tissue will be donated and transplanted to those in need.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
