Philomena E. Bersani's Obituary
Philomena E. (Pullano) Bersani, 80, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Monday. Born in Syracuse, she was employed with Pullano Accounting for many years. Philomena was a communicant of Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church and was a member of the St. Therese Society. She was a former volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was predeceased by her 2 brothers, Anthony and Joseph Pullano. Philomena is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Anthony M. Bersani; 4 children, Edward A. (Cindy) Bersani of Syracuse, Thomas R. (Angela) Bersani of Liverpool, Anne (Michael) Bosco of Syracuse and Camille (Marc) Donabella of Cicero; 9 grandchildren, Thomas (Ann) Bersani, Joseph Bersani, Anthony Bersani (Jennifer Lisi), Michael Bersani, Kayla Bosco, Gianna Bersani, Genna Bersani, Mia Bersani and Lily Donabella; brother, Richard (Marie) Pullano of Syracuse; sisters-in-law, Dolores DiBello of Cicero and Jane Pullano of Cazenovia; also many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 9:00 AM in the THOMAS J. PIRRO FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY and 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM. The St. Therese Society will recite their ritual on Thursday at 3:30 PM in the Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church.
