Phyllis E. (Werbeck) Militi's Obituary
Phyllis E. (Werbeck) Militi, 86, of N. Syracuse, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 8, 2020. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Frank and Edith (Papaleoni) Werbeck. Phyllis worked several dedicated years as an Executive Secretary at General Electric. She was known for her keen eye in fashion and interior design and was a master seamstress. She enjoyed dancing and was a great cook and baker; Phyllis especially loved spending time with family and her beloved grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her grandson, Joseph John “J.J.” Winguay and her brother, Frank Werbeck, Jr.
Phyllis is survived by three daughters, Lauren Militi, Elise Militi and Mari (Edward) O’Hara; three grandchildren, Paris, Patrick and Jack; siblings, Eddie, Eloise, Eileen, Lorraine, Walter, John and Therese, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call on Friday, February 14, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, immediately followed by a Funeral Service in celebration of Phyllis’ life at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
