Ralph J. Rimualdo, Sr.'s Obituary
Ralph J. Rimualdo, 72, of Camillus, passed away suddenly on Thursday at Crouse Hospital surrounded by friends and family. Ralph was born in Syracuse and graduated from North High School in 1960. He was very proud of his “Northside Italian” heritage. He was a sergeant of the 1209th Garrison Unit Army Reserves. Ralph retired as CFO from Case Supply after 40 years and was currently employed as CFO by Time Cap Development.
Ralph was an active member and leader of many organizations: Chairman of the NACM, board member of the Northside CYO, North High School Reunion Committee, Board of Directors of the Near Westside Initiative. He was also an avid photographer and tennis player.
Ralph loved to tell a good story, and his favorite times were on the tennis court or at Winter Inn on Fourth Lake with his grandchildren and his “Camp Family." Ralph enjoyed life to the absolute fullest, always surrounded by family and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents, Carmen and Yolanda Rimualdo and his beloved son, Scott Rimualdo.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Joan McKinley Rimualdo; son, Ralph Rimualdo, Jr. (Alissa Vesterby); daughter, Jenn Simons (Geoff); daughter-in-law, Kristine Rimualdo-Mitson (Dave Mitson); grandchildren, Matthew, Mattison, Joshua, Nicolas, Kai, and Carmen; sister, Marla Welch (Robert); and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call Monday, February 23rd from 3 to 7 p.m. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 24th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Camillus. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Francis House, Near Westside Initiative, or Northside CYO.
