Ralph T. Sacco, Sr.'s Obituary
Ralph T. Sacco, Sr. 81, of Syracuse, NY passed away peacefully on July 21, 2021, surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness. Ralph was born and raised in Syracuse, NY, son of the late Thomas and Florence (Mastriano Grande) Sacco. He worked several dedicated years as a fireman for the City of Syracuse. Ralph was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed rooting for the New York Yankees and was a fan of Syracuse University sports as well. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Ralph is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Patricia (Varre) Sacco; his son, Ralph T. Sacco, Jr; his brothers, Dr. Louis (Maryanne), Thomas (Roz), and Joseph Sacco; a sister, Patricia (Frank) Steele, as well as several, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 26, 2021, at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Ralph’s life at 12:00 PM at St. Daniel’s Church, 3004 Court St, Syracuse, NY 13208. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 10:00-11:00 am on Monday, July 26, 2021, at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ralph’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
