Raymond R. Misita's Obituary
Raymond R. Misita, 83, of Liverpool, passed away Tuesday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Dominic and Tomassina (Spensieri) Misita. Ray was employed with Nationwide Insurance for 30 years, retiring in 1992. He loved all sports, especially the New York Yankees and Syracuse Orange. Ray enjoyed playing cards with his pals, bowling and golfing. He and his wife Maria spent winters in Florida. Ray loved spending time with his family, they always came first. He was known and loved for his jokes and stories.
He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Mary. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Maria (Paparo) Misita; his three children, David, Lisa (Brian) and Joanne (Jan), five grandchildren, Nicole, Tiffany, Michele, Austin and Justin; three great-grandchildren, Bradley, Matthew and Emilie along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ray's family would like to thank Dr. Pawan Rao and staff, Dr. Sarah Mitchell and the St. Joseph visiting nurses for all their care and compassion.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 11:00 am in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a funeral mass will be celebrated. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
