My deepest condolences to Marilyn and all the Salvie family. America lost a hero this week. From the Halls of Montezuma and to the shores of Iwo Jima, Ray Salvie was a patriot and a classic. Whenever Ray testified for me, he was always meticulously prepared and impeccably dressed.I used to joke that if Ray swore the sun was coming up in the West the following morning, the jurors would look towards California to see the sunrise. i will always treasure my framed photo of the 1908 Philadelphia Athletics with star pitcher Gus Salve that Ray gave me! Rest in Peace my friend.

My sincere condolences to Aunt Marilyn and all my cousins-Scott, Ellen, Jeff, Evonne, and Dan. Uncle Ray was my all-time hero. When I was a young boy, he spent quality time with me as we talked and walked together. It meant a lot and I worshipped him. RIP

May the memory of Ray be ETERNAL! I always looked forward to talking with Ray, he was interested in your thoughts and contributions, most especially to the military! I remember fondly his visit to Blue Mountain and his first comment was "thanks for flying the American flag!"

I was sorry to hear about the loss of your father. What an amazing life he lived! You must be so proud of him. May God welcome him into Heaven with open arms!
Today my American flag flies at half-mast, as it will do for a respectful amount of time. In keeping with Ray’s mantra, that when things get tough you just keep marching forward. Our proud flag, that he defended with his life, will fly high again and every time I look at it, I will be reminded of Ray and the red American blood that was shed for our freedom. Ray truly changed my life.

I met Ray in 2019 and quickly realized just how special he was. He was quick to share stories of his time on Iwo Jima and his service with the troopers. We remained close and I am forever grateful for his kindness, support and encouragement. I’m a better person for having known him and his loss is deeply felt. Rest easy my friend. We have the watch.
