Richard K. "Pineapple" Allen, Jr.'s Obituary
Richard K. “Pineapple” Allen, Jr., 77, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was born in Hawaii and resided in the Syracuse area for most of his life. Richard served with the US Marine Corps. He was employed in the Foundry Department at Crouse Hinds for many years. Richard was an avid Syracuse sports and San Francisco 49ers fan.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Lynda B. Allen in 2012.
Richard is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins and his special friend, Gloria (Roger) Barcume of Liverpool.
A Funeral service in celebration of Richard’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Monday, January 4, 2016 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
