I am so sorry to hear this news I spent my childhood with the Misita family who lived not far from Dick and his family, we had some great times down by the lake and spent time in his home in Florida, I don't have a memory that doesn't include them in it, A wee Irish girl who he didn't even know but treated me like family, God watch over the rest of his family and may the angels watch over him from Maggie Donnelly and family from Derry xxxxx
My Thoughts are with you Roy and Family. I was introduced to Dick up on the hill over 13 years ago and always enjoyed his company and he always made me feel welcome. His laugh and great sense of humor will be missed by many. My prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
Dick will truly be missed in Barnes Corners,He was a very giving man to all that knew him.He will never be forgotten,he was one of a kind.
One of the greatest men and neighbors we have had the pleasure to know!! Always loved when he was "home" in Florida! We loved just popping in to hang out and to watch him play with Jacob, who loved him so much!! Always there to lend a helping hand, or just someone to talk to. When I met my husband he could not wait for me to meet his friends "the benson family", I will never forget how dick welcomed me into his camp. He spoke to me like he d known me forever. I will always be thankful for his kindness from the first meeting and every time after. Glad to have gotten to enjoy him. Dawn
