Richard E. Boland, Sr.'s Obituary
Richard E. Boland, SR., 60, of West Monroe – an amazing and beloved husband, father and grandfather – went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, February 12, 2015. He was born on January 26, 1955 to James and Florence Boland, in Syracuse. Richard was a hardworking, fun loving man that would do anything to help all those that he loved. He was married to his true love, Jeannie, on August 21, 1976 and spent the rest of his life devoted to her and his children and grandchildren.
Richard is predeceased by his parents, James and Florence; three brothers, James, Michael and Gary, and two sisters, Maryann and Patricia.
Richard is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jeannie (Gloria) Boland of West Monroe; his son, Richard, JR (Ashley Batton) of Brewerton; his daughter, Debbie of Central Square; five grandchildren, Amanda, Dakota, Kristina, Tyler and Kylie; four brothers, John Farmer of Hastings, Charles of South Carolina, Robert and Thomas of Hastings and one sister, Kathy of Clay, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Richard’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours for family and friends will be from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday, February 16, 2015 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
