Richard Lynde Hall's Obituary
Richard Lynde Hall, 77, of Reston, Va., passed away on January 1, 2021. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Mafalda (Lorini) Hall, his brother, Paul Anthony Hall, his nieces, Louisa Mary Mattiacio and Tina Marie Hall Parsley, and his nephew, Joseph Lynde Hall II.
Richard was a native of Syracuse, NY. He was a graduate of St. Lucy’s Academy, Lemoyne College and Clarkson University. He received his Ph.D. from Clarkson University in the late 1960’s at the height of what was then called the “space age”. When opportunities began to dwindle locally due to a decline in the scope of the space program, Richard opted to move to the Washington, DC area where he eventually accepted employment with Riverside Research and settled in Reston, Virginia.
Richard is survived by his two brothers, James Joseph (Diane) Hall and Joseph Lynde (Mary Lou) Hall and his two sisters, Mary (Anthony) Mattiacio and Theresa (Michael) Montreal, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews to whom he was affectionately referred to as Uncle Richie Sir.
Wish not so much to live long as to live well.
