Richard J. Liberty's Obituary
Richard J. Liberty, 79, of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late John and Margaret (Demmerle) Liberty. Richard served in the U. S. Marine Corps. He was employed at General Motors for many years as a skilled trades carpenter before retiring. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is predeceased by his sister, Shirley DiDomenico.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Judy (Russo) Liberty; his children, Maria (Michael) Congelo, John Liberty, Celeste (Mark) Patnode, Jodie (Troy) Thompson, and Richard (Terry) Liberty; 13grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services and entombment will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice or Wounded Warrior Project.
