Richard "Dick" Harold Morris' Obituary
Richard “Dick” Harold Morris, 89, passed peacefully on February 12, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
He is survived by his wife, Tressa “Terri” (Canestraro) LaMack. Together since 1980, they married in 1991. He is also survived by his daughters, Kim Winslow and Sandy Pizzuto; his stepchildren, Andrea LaMack and Joseph LaMack; his seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his brother, Edward Morris; along with several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Dick was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Laura (Calcagnino) Morris; his sister, Elenor; and his brother, Robert.
Dick was born on April 16, 1936, in Syracuse, NY, and was raised on Syracuse’s North Side. In 1958, Dick was inducted into the U.S. Army, where he proudly served until his honorable discharge in 1963. He was a self-employed auto dealer the majority of his life.
In 2008, he moved to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where he resided until the time of his death. Dick lived with heart disease for many years and passed away from complications due to cancer.
In addition to Dick’s lifelong passion for cars, he was a talented sketch artist whose caricatures brought joy to family and friends. He loved the beach and enjoyed golfing, swimming, and bicycle riding. Dick was a devoted Catholic. Dick was kind and considerate and was loved by everyone — including the family dog, who was always by his side.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 9:30am – 11:00am at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd., (corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 12:00pm at St. John the Baptist/Holy Trinity Church, 406 Court St., Syracuse and interment with Military Honors to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
