Richard O. Ostrander's Obituary
Richard O. Ostrander, 89, of Liverpool, passed away at St. Camillus on February 12, 2019. He was born in Syracuse, NY, son of the late William and Minnie (Schaeffer) Ostrander. Richard worked at Allied Chemical for many years, retiring in 1985. He enjoyed gardening and planting greenery in his backyard. He also loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife of over 50 years, Anne (Enright) Ostrander in 2014; his brother, Harvey Ostrander and sister, Doris Becker.
Richard is survived by his three daughters, Patti (Dan) Kinney, Diane (James) Blair and Barbara (Terry) Smith, all of Liverpool; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 am on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Richard’s life at 9:30 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool. Burial will follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
