Richard Lee Shipman's Obituary
Richard Lee Shipman, 73, of Liverpool, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at home. He was a graduate of Central Tech in 1965 and went on to work as an electrician for 30 years at Carrier Corporation. Richard always put others first and had a heart of gold. He had a long medical history and was an extremely strong person that would not give up. His pride and joy were his animals and vacationing in Florida.
Richard was predeceased by his parents, Roy Shipman and Agnes (Shipman) Coon, along with his brother, Jimmy.
He is survived by his fiancé and soulmate, the love of his life for 38 years, Roberta Kinsella; his daughters, Christine Shipman and Ann Marie Chapnik; brothers, Roy “Buddy” and John Shipman; sisters Nancy (Jeffrey) Usakewicsz, Colleen (Eddie) Cancel, Jackie Hylen, Patricia (Robert) Chamberlain, and Judy-Ann Shipman; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service in celebration of Richard’s life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 9 A.M. in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dewitt. Calling hours will take place from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY 13212.
