Richard C. Strom, Sr.'s Obituary
Richard C. Strom, Sr., 82, of Liverpool, passed away Wednesday in St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late William and Helen (Lawler) Strom. Richard was married to his loving wife, Mamie for 59 years prior to her passing in 2010. He was a warehouse manager with Netti Beverage for 40 years before working as a hall monitor with Syracuse City Schools for 13 years. Richard was an avid SU Basketball fan. He loved traveling to Florida and truly enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Mamie; his grandson, Patrick Strom; four brothers, William, Walter, Joseph and James. Richard is survived by his daughter, Sharon L. (Michael) Saccone of Syracuse; his son, Richard C. (Kathy) Strom of Florida; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Bob) Klasen, David Judware and Michael Strom; three great-grandchildren, Noah, Connor and Eriqua; his brother, Robert Strom of CT along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 12:00 pm in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.
