I am so very sorry to have found this out! I knew Rita and her sister Theresa from Schiller Park and Henninger! This is such a shock! In Fact, last night (August 3rd, 2014) I actually sent her a message on Facebook not at all knowing this! I feel so embarrassed by that! I had not seen Rita or her family in years! A friend of mine, Tony Callipari and I (Michael Anthony Melice) had met her while swimming at Schiller Park in the summer of 81. I ended up dating her sister Theresa while Tony sort of dated her that summer! I always thought Rita was such a sweet woman! I am so truly sorry to Rita's family and it's very painful to realize this happened!
I will definitely keep you all in prayer! I actually feel sick to have found this out!

God Bless you all, and know that I so Truly Sorry for your Great Loss!
Rita was truly a wonderful girl, woman and I am sure a wonderful Mother and Wife!

Attended your NY services last evening. Remembering the time you and Candice sang at the memorial service for a mutual friend, Steve Galek. The worship was beautiful and both of you sweetly singing ushering in the presence of the Holy Spirit, while Pastor Paul gave brief message. Also remembering the wonderful mom you were and how you taught Gabriel about Jesus and simple songs he could repeat when very young. Thank you for being a friend that would always come along side and brighten up a day. You will be so missed. Till we meet again may you rest in God's presence. Love . . . ..Janis

What a priviledge it is to have been to have Rita as my very best friend for 16 years.....she was a 2nd Mom to my boys when they were young....we made so many wonderful memories...our "rocking chair moments" that I will always cherish!! My heart and prayers go out to the whole family and friends....please remember what a beautiful person Rita was, her smile, wink, quick wit and heart. She is with her Savior now...no more heartache or pain. Thank you God for 16 years of memories we made!!

You left me instructions for your little Gabriel. I want more than anything to honor your wishes. Will need all the help that you and God could possibly send me.
