Robert J. Brown's Obituary
Robert J. Brown, 72, of Cicero, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 13, 2020. He was born in North Tarrytown, NY (Sleepy Hollow) to the late Kenneth and Eleanor (Sing) Brown and was a 1966 graduate of Sleepy Hollow High School. Upon graduation, Bob went on to receive his Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Brockport in 1972 and his Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Central Michigan University in 1977. He went on to work for the Central Michigan Health Clinic in Big Rapids, MI and was an instructor for the Central Michigan graduate program. Bob also worked at the Easter Seal Rehab Center in Stanford, CT and was the vice president of Yost EAP in Liverpool and president of Applied Human Science. Bob enjoyed running and swimming and was a member of “The Beach Bums” at Green Lakes in Fayetteville. He loved to vacation in Naples, Florida for the winter. Bob was an avid NY Mets and Jets fan and loved to attend all his grandchildren’s sporting events. Bob’s favorite times were spent with his family when his heart was full of love and joy.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Susan A. (Sinopoli) Brown; a daughter, Rachael J. (Todd) Dydyk; two grandchildren, Hayden R. and Ethan R. Dydyk; a brother, Richard K. Brown of Ossining, NY; along with nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private funeral service was held for immediate family. A public celebration of Bob’s life will take place at Green Lakes State Park in the summer.
Bob was making regular donations to local food banks to assist with families struggling with issues arising from COVID-19, so in his memory please consider donating to any local food bank.
