Robert Dudley's Obituary
Bob Dudley, 76, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Sunday at his home. He was born in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late Richard and Loa (Johnson) Dudley. Bob was a graduate of Fayetteville Manlius High School and Dartmouth College. He served with the US Coast Guard as a Third Officer on International Ice Patrol. While he was an active salesman in records storage systems for the past 25 years, he also owned and operated a mortgage company and restaurant in northern Virginia early in his professional career. He had a genuine love for the St. Lawrence River where he enjoyed fishing and boating, and he was an avid antique collector and dealer. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Susan (Caffrey) Dudley; two daughters, Maureen Hammerquist of Fairfax, VA and Meredith (Evan Ehrhardt) Dudley of New Orleans; two step-children, Karen (John Mulligan) Hite of Boston and Kevin (Jennifer) Hite of Darien, CT; seven grandchildren, a brother, Richard A. (Martha) Dudley of Canton, NY along with several nieces and nephews. In lieu of calling hours, a celebration of Bob's life will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 12:00 to 3:00 pm at Riley's Restaurant, 312 Park Street, Syracuse, NY.
