Robert J. Hebert's Obituary
Robert J. Hebert, 88, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Syracuse and served with the US Marine Corps during WWII. Robert was a member of the VFW Lafayette Post 1955. He was an office manager with International Harvester for most of his life before working for the Lafayette School District for over 10 years as a carpenter and bus driver. Carpentry was his passion and he was also an avid golfer. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Raymond Hebert. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Bernadine (Keehfus) Hebert; his two sons, Dennis (Judi) Hebert of Liverpool and Calvin (Linda) Hebert of Liverpool; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Tony) Spagnola, Christopher (Margaret) Hebert, Adam Hebert and Carissa Hebert; two great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 8:00 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 9:00 am in St. Joseph the Worker Church, where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
