Robert R. Van Tassel Jr.'s Obituary
Robert R. VanTassel, Jr., 45, of Brewerton, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was born in Syracuse and was employed with MAGNA for 10 years and currently with Young & Franklin Tactair for 2 years.
Robert was an extremely bright man with a heart of gold. He was a hardworking man dedicated to his employer while also running his own machine shop. Robert loved to travel and go camping and just hang out in nature! He is the man that everyone loved be around and call their friend.
Robert was a loving father, brother, son and the most loyal friend that anyone could ever ask for. His sense of humor will be greatly missed.
Robert is survived by his son, Jacob Schuler of Cicero; his parents, Gloria (Sielawa) and Robert R. VanTassel, Sr., his sister, Jill Quick of Cicero; his brother, Todd VanTassel of Las Vegas, along with his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours for family and friends will be held from 4:00 – 6:30 pm on Monday, August 31, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.), North Syracuse, followed by a funeral service in celebration of Robert’s life at 6:30 pm, with a reception to follow Monday at 7:30PM in Twin Trees North Syracuse.
