Robert E. "Bob/ Bobby" Verone's Obituary
Robert E. “Bob/Bobby” Verone, 67, of Liverpool, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026, after an unexpected short illness.
Born in Syracuse, NY, Bobby was a devoted Italian Northsider, Burger King and Heid’s patron, and proud graduate of Henninger High School class of 1978. He was previously employed by the City of Syracuse in the Parks and Recreation, DPW and Water Departments. Bobby served as Sgt. At Arms for Local 400 Laborers Union and was a member of the Knights of St. John and John Venditti Post.
Bob’s deep love for sports, particularly the Steelers, Celtics and Black Knights was known far and wide and he also highly supported CBA athletics. His angel wings are adorned in black and gold with a touch of green and white.
Bobby is survived by his brother, Michael (Carol); nieces, Danielle (Mike) Loguidice and Michelle Verone; twin great-nieces, Gia and Liv Murray; and his extended loving family and friends. He has now joined his favorite fur-nephew, Barney, in the sky.
The family would like to thank the staff of 4 South at Crouse Hospital and Elderwood at Liverpool for their care.
Visitation will take place at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 4:00 PM- 6:00 P.M. with a service to follow at 6:00 P.M. He will be laid to rest on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob’s memory may be made to North Area Meals on Wheels, 413 Church St. North Syracuse, NY 13212.
