Robert E. Walters' Obituary
Robert E. Walters, 51, of North Syracuse, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, the son of Mary (Dunn) and Roy Walters. Robert was employed as a Bench Technician with Infitec Inc. in East Syracuse. He loved music and was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching the New York Mets and Buffalo Bills. Robert was very involved with his children's activities, from coaching little league to being a "Pit Dad" with the Cicero-North Syracuse Marching Band and Drum line. Most importantly, Robert was a family man who always put his family first.
He was predeceased by his father, Roy Walters. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Laura E. (Scully) Walters; his three beloved children, Jason M. Walters, Daniel C. (Blakely) Walters and Cassandra L. Walters; his cherished granddaughter, Capella; his mother, Mary (Dunn) Walters; his two sisters, Bonnie Green and Debbie (Steve) Poppe, along with several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service by Rev. Daniel Caruso in celebration of Robert's life will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 11:30 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Burial will follow in North Syracuse Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
