Robert Curtis Waters II's Obituary
Robert Curtis Waters II, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, has passed away at the age of 39.
Born on July 5, 1986 in Syracuse, NY — “Bobby” was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew him. He was the proud son of Robert and Barbara Waters and little brother to his sister Kate. Of all the roles he held in life, perhaps none brought him more joy than being “Uncle Bobby” to his cherished niece, Julia.
Bobby earned his master’s degree at LeMoyne College after finishing undergrad at St. John Fisher University. He then went on to build a successful career in Cybersecurity Marketing at Ivanti, where his creativity and kindness left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike. But his greatest achievements could never be listed on a résumé. Bobby was the heart of his community — the one who brought people together, kept group chats alive, and always showed up when it mattered most.
He had an infectious laugh, an encyclopedic knowledge of music and sports, and an unwavering love for his family, his friends, and his friends’ children. Whether he was watching a game, curating an epic playlist, or cracking a perfectly timed joke, Bobby made life more fun, more vibrant, and more full of heart.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bobby’s memory to the local chapter of the Sierra Club. Checks can be made out to the CNNY Sierra Club and mailed to Dr. Rhea Jezer at 7426 Song Lake Rd, Tully NY 13159.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Barbara; his sister Kathryn (Eberline); his niece Julia; and a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him like family. His absence leaves an immeasurable void, but his light will continue to shine in the lives of all who knew him.
