Rocco P. Lotito's Obituary
Rocco P. Lotito, 85, of East Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2015. Rocco was born and raised in the Syracuse area. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Rocco was employed by Carrier Corporation for 52 years, leaving there in 2004 when the operation left the area. He was handy around the house and enjoyed working on cars.
He was predeceased by his parents, Francesco and Fiorita (Gallo) Lotito, his siblings, Oronzo and Nicolas Lotito, and Mary L. Munk.
Rocco is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, the former Irene Maselli, his sons, Mark, of Liverpool; Michael (Andrea Rehn) of Long Beach, CA; Christopher of Springfield, VA and Matthew of Chesapeake, VA; daughters, Cynthia Fortino and Barbara Myers, both of Liverpool; grandchildren, Marisa and John Fortino and Rocco Myers; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Rocco’s family would like to thank the 3rd floor staff at Loretto Cunningham, PCU and Palliative Care staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their special care of Rocco.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, Main St., Minoa, NY. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery, Court St., Syracuse, NY. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, January 5, 2015 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
