Roland "Larry" Somers' Obituary
Roland "Larry" Somers, 75, of North Syracuse, passed away on Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Larry was born in Syracuse. He was a truck driver with Preston Trucking and a member of Teamsters Local 317. Larry enjoyed spending time with family and friends and cherished time spent with his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Chester Somers and Ruby Belonge ; his son, Thomas Brennan and his sister, Dawn Sprague. Larry is survived by his wife, Marie (Aloi) Somers; six sons, Stephen, David, Ronald and Ricky Somers, Patrick (Sue) Brennan, Michael (Marie) Brennan; 2 daughters, Debi Somers and Linda (Scott) Franks; 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Phillip (Butch) Somers; sister, Evelyn (Bunny) Ashley; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 9:00 AM in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 10:00 AM in St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will follow in North Syracuse Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd., (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Friday from 4 to 7 PM.
