Ronald L. Bailey's Obituary
Ronald L. Bailey, 71, of Liverpool, passed away early Sunday morning. Mr. Bailey was a lifelong resident of Central New York, working primarily in retail management for Sears and more recently for Best Buy. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and all-around outdoorsman. He loved his SU hoops.
An 11-year throat cancer survivor, Mr. Bailey’s resolve served as an inspiration for his family. His five grandchildren: Anthony, Evan, Mason, Karissa, and Brielle were the lights of his life. For over 46 years, Mr. Bailey was married to his beloved Nancy (Sarnuto) of Syracuse. He is survived by her and their children, Joseph Amato of California and Erika (James) Schlotzhauer of Central Square; special niece and nephews, Roseanne Saraceno of Brooklyn, Peter Saraceno of Liverpool, Frank Saraceno of Connecticut; brothers, Robert L. (Mary) of Florida, Richard G. (Lorraine) of DeRuyter; sister, Janet Bailey (Richie Melito) of Liverpool, and several more nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Helen (Kingsley) Bailey, and his sister, Mary Jill Loewy.
A funeral service in celebration of Ronald’s life will be held at 11 am on Friday, July 27, 2018 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Liverpool Village Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 4 - 7 pm on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse.
