Ronald Warren Monterville's Obituary
Ronald Warren Monterville “Monty,” age 70 of Elbridge, passed away on July 19, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Syracuse, son of the late Warren Monterville and Marion (Abbott) Roberts, he was a self-employed painter, owning and operating Monterville Painting Company for 26 years. Ron was a devout Christian and very involved in his church, Faith Chapel Syracuse, he was also in his third year of Ministry School to become a Pastor.
Ronny was an avid golfer and played his last round of golf on June 18th where he birdied his very last two holes (according to him). He was a huge Syracuse basketball, Yankees, and Giants fan. The only guy in CYO history that never had an assist because he would never pass the ball knowing that he would never get it back. Being the ladies’ man that he is, he spent his final days cracking jokes and flirting with all the nurses. Ronny will be most remembered for his sense of humor and the ability to make anyone laugh in any situation. Amazing Father and Grandfather and he will be missed immensely.
Ron is survived by his two daughters, Ashley Parker, and Chelsea (RJ) Nicolli; 9 grandchildren; and a brother, Rick (Joyce) Monterville.
A celebration of Ronald’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on August 11, 2024, at the Barking Gull, 116 S. Willow St. Liverpool, NY 13088.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ronald’s name may be made to Faith Chapel Syracuse, 4113 W. Seneca Turnpike Syracuse, NY 13215.
