Rosa (Corasaniti) Froio's Obituary
Rosa (Corasaniti) Froio, 86, of Syracuse, NY, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Sunday, December 30, 2018. She was born in Davoli, Italy, daughter of the late Antonio and Francesca (Viscomi) Corasaniti. Rosa worked at Dey Brothers for over 20 years. She enjoyed cooking with her grandchildren making meatballs. Rosa was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be truly missed.
She was predeceased by her son, Sam Froio in 2009; three brothers and two sisters.
Rosa is survived by her husband, James F. Froio; her daughter, Felicia Poppe; her son, James N. Froio; grandchildren, Nicholas, James J. and Rosario Froio, Annmarie Peebles and Gary Poppe, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Tyler & Alyssa Peebles, Sam, Maria and Giavanna Froio, Christina and Daniella Froio; sister-in-law, Maria Froio; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Rosa’s life at 12:00 pm in St. Charles-St. Ann Church, 501 S. Orchard Rd., Syracuse. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
