Rosalie N. (LaRosa) Angotti's Obituary
Rosalie N. (LaRosa) Angotti, 92, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Crouse Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Jamesville to the late Giovanni and Antoinette (Calla) LaRosa and lived in Syracuse her whole life. Rosalie worked at Wittig’s Ice Cream Parlor followed by many dedicated years as a secretary for E.W. Edwards & Son Department Store. In her later years, she worked as a lunch aide for the Syracuse City School District. Rosalie enjoyed traveling and was an avid SU basketball fan; she also cherished time spent with family and friends, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Carmen S. Angotti and her siblings, Ralph LaRosa, Rose Longbardo and Nancy Mascato.
Rosalie is survived by her two sons, John (Missy) Angotti of Syracuse and Anthony Angotti of Las Vegas; her daughter, Patricia Parkhurst of DeRuyter; grandchildren, Johnna, Jeanna, David, Carmen and Lola; seven great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held from 4 – 6 pm on Friday, June 10, 2022 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse. A funeral mass in celebration of Rosalie’s life will take place at 9:30 am on Saturday, June 11, 2022 in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, Syracuse. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
