Rosaria A. "Sadie" (Lanzafame) Fabrizi's Obituary
Rosaria A. “Sadie” (Lanzafame) Fabrizi, 86, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at The Cottages on September 19, 2024. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Ralph and Sarah (Iannuzzo) Lanzafame. Sadie graduated from North High School in 1956. After graduating, she worked for Kemper Insurance, and then was hired as the first employee to work at Wegmans on John Glenn Blvd. in Liverpool. Sadie enjoyed being a homemaker; cooking, baking, cleaning, and taking care of her family was most important to her.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Egidio “Gino” Fabrizi.
Sadie is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Alberto Fabrizi; her daughter, Adele (Joe) Commisso; her sister-in-law, Ruth Fabrizi, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral Mass in celebration of Sadie’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 27, 2024 in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, 301 Ash St., Syracuse, NY, followed by entombment in Our Lady of Peace Mausoleum, Rt. 57 Baldwinsville, NY. Family and friends may call from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
