Rosaria Vasta's Obituary
Rosaria Vasta passed away October 21, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Hope Mills, NC surrounded by her family. Rosaria came to the United States in 1950 making this her home. Rosaria was a wonderful mother, wife, sibling and friend. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and watching her soap operas. Her favorite thing to do was spend time around the kitchen table with her family and friends.
Rosaria was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Rosario Vasta.
She is survived by her son, Lucio Vasta; daughter, Anna Dina and son-in-law, Paul Simcox (North Carolina), granddaughters, Tiffany Lynn Vasta (Florida) and Sara Christine Simcox (North Carolina) and grandsons, Brian Simcox (Colorado) and Sean Simcox; a great- granddaughter, Adalae Anita Simcox; her brother, Biago Larocca (California) and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, October 27, 2017 at THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Rosaria’s life at 10:00 am in Assumption Church. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
