Rose Coco's Obituary
Rose Coco, 83, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Thursday at Van Duyn. She was born in Syracuse and was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Eastwood. Rose worked at Syracuse Rendering Co., Nationwide Insurance and more recently, Price Chopper in Cicero. She had a great love of music from singing in school chorus's, church choirs and her very favorite, the Liverpool Community Chorus where she was a member for 20 years. Rose and her partner, Russ Seager enjoyed the local music scene; from the many jazz fests, the Syracuse Symphony or the venues where Russ would play. They enjoyed Florida in the winter and the music scene there as well. Rose was predeceased by her sister, Josephine Cali and her brother, Joseph Cook. She is survived by her two sisters, Edith Torio of Syracuse and Ann Greco of Liverpool; longtime companion, Russ Seager of Liverpool; nieces; Frances (Peter) Harris of Cicero, Grace (Thomas) Venuti of Syracuse, Sharon (Nicholas) Petragnani of N. Carolina; nephew, John (Toni) Torio of East Hampton, NY and several great-nieces and great-nephews. A celebration of Rose's life will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am in Blessed Sacrament Church. Family and friends may call at the Thomas J. Pirro Funeral Home on Monday from 4 to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 401 N. Salina St., Ste 304, Syracuse, NY 13203.
