Rose M. (Busco) Dicks' Obituary
Rose M. (Busco) Dicks, 99, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026, at Elderwood at Liverpool. Born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Vincent and Anna (Ponto) Busco, Rose was a housekeeping supervisor for Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing for many years. She enjoyed Bingo and playing slots at the Turning Stone, as well as cheering on the New York Yankees and Syracuse Mets.
Along with her parents, Rose was predeceased by her husband, Cyril, in 1984, and her five sisters, Anna Huftle, Josephine Graziano, Catherine Racht, Esther Pierce, and Pauline Rice.
Rose is survived by her daughters, Christine (Richard) Boylan, and Diane Dicks; grandchildren, Richard (Jolene) and Bryan (Younghwa); great-grandchildren, Minyoung, Arianna, Nathan, and Kyle; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A calling hour will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 10:15 A.M. – 11:15 A.M. at Our Lady of Hope Church, immediately followed by a funeral Mass in celebration of Rose’s life at 11:30 A.M. in the church, 4845 S. Salina St. Syracuse, NY. Rose will be laid to rest beside her husband in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Hope Church.
