Rose A. Kleist's Obituary
Rose A. Kleist, 85, of Syracuse, passed away on Sunday May 11, 2014. The daughter of the late Mario & Lena (DelGiorno) Linares. Rose attended North High School and was the owner of the "Rosalee Gift Shop" and "Truly Yours". She was a past president of the Assumption Academy Catholic School P.T.A., a member of the Altar & Rosary Society, and past president of St. Jude the Apostles. She was a trained opera singer, devoted Catholic, wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren whether it was sitting and talking, out shopping or sitting down to root for the N.Y. Yankees.
Other than her parents she was predeceased by her grandson Sean Welch. Rose is survived by her husband Nicholas J. Kleist Sr., 2 daughters Helena (Michael) Welch of Granger, IN. Deborah (James) Fresina of Liverpool, NY. 2 sons Nicholas (Toni) Kleist Jr. of Phoenix, NY and Mark (Angela) Kleist of Cicero, NY, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:00 A.M. in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Rose's life at 10:00 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Entombment will follow in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Contributions in Rose's honor can be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
