Rose (Ranieri) Laratta's Obituary
Rose (Ranieri) Laratta, 92, of Liverpool, passed away Friday at James Square. She was born in Italy, the daughter of the late Anthony and Elizabeth Ranieri. Rose was an avid cook and baker and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dominick Laratta in 1993. Rose is survived by her son, Anthony (Cheryle) Laratta of Liverpool; her daughter, Elizabeth (Paul) DeRoberts of Baldwinsville; four grandchildren, Christina (Nick) Garzia, Denise (Thomas) Dowling, Anthony Laratta and Nicholas (Melissa) Laratta; five great-grandchildren, Julia Laratta, Sofia Garzia, Tyler Dowling, Avery Dowling and Romeo Laratta, one half sister, three half brothers along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 8:30 am in the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME and 9:30 am in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum, Dewitt. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
