Rose Marie (Bianchi) Ascioti Cardinali's Obituary
Rose Marie (Bianchi) Ascioti Cardinali, 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday surrounded by her family. Rose was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Anthony and Theresa (Valletta) Bianchi on December 15th, 1928. She graduated Solvay High School in 1946 and went on to raise 6 children. She was employed for many years at Bianchi Insurance Agency in Solvay and Eastern Shore Associates in Fulton as an administrative agent.
She had a passion for cooking and baking and loved to share it with her family and friends. She also was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crosswords. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren hosting and attending parties, holidays, and other special occasions. She also loved to travel and take day trips with her children and friends. We have been blessed with the most beautiful mother who had an exceptional loving and caring nature. This was reflected in everything she said or did. She was more than any family could hope for and was the heart and soul of our family.
She was a devout Catholic and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas for many years. Mom was known by everyone who knew or met her as a sweet lady. Mom, fly with the angels. You will be missed, and in our hearts forever.
Rose was predeceased by her husbands, Louis Ascioti in 1969, and John Cardinali in 1988; siblings, Pellino Bianchi and Margaret Kulak; and step-sons, Donald and James Cardinali.
She is survived by her children, Catherine Taddeo, Theresa Pelliccia, Antoinette (John) Brennan, Anthony (Robin) Ascioti, Marie (Eric) Parr, Carolyn (Mike) Muldoon; grandchildren, Erin Woods, Krista Petrie, Heather Simmons, Michele Kirse, Jason Pelliccia, Danielle and Ryan Brennan, Eric, Brandon, Madison and Halie Ascioti, Matthew, Melissa and Brian Parr, Shannon Sokol, Michael Muldoon; 25 great-grandchildren; brothers, Anthony Jr. (Dolores) Bianchi and Donald (Linda) Bianchi; a sister-in-law, Rose Spagnoletti, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Marianne Cope Parish at St. Cecilia’s Church, 1001 Woods Road in Syracuse. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery.
