Rose (Cass) Nuzzo's Obituary
Rose (Cass) Nuzzo, 92, of Liverpool, passed away Sunday at The Cottages at Garden Grove surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Michael and Anne Cass. She was employed by the Hotel Syracuse Dress Shop and Stylish Women. Affectionately known as “Rosie”, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Rose loved to cook and enjoyed her many trips to Saratoga, Las Vegas, Florida, and shopping trips to New York City. Her vivacious personality and sparkling smile left a lasting impression with everyone she met.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dominick J. Nuzzo on October 22, 1995.
Rose is survived by her children, Richard J. (Marilyn) Nuzzo of Liverpool, Lucille (James) Campagna of Liverpool; Michael; five grandchildren, Richard Jr. (Jackie), Tiffany, Alyssa, Katrina and Jamie; three great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Buckley Landing and also at The Cottages at Garden Grove for their love and care of Rosie during her illness.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 am on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Funeral Mass in celebration of Rose’s life at 9:30 am in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
