Rose (Bono) Smarrelli's Obituary
Rose (Bono) Smarrelli, 90, of North Syracuse, passed away Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse and was employed with the Syracuse City School District for 22 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Smarrelli; her parents, Anthony and Marie Antoinette (Piccolo) Bono and her brother, Nicholas Bono.
Rose is survived by her children, Eustace “Stacy” (Deana) Smarrelli of Austin, TX, Anthony (Francine) Smarrelli of Pinehurst, NC, Connie (Joseph) Romano of Dewitt and Rosemary (John) Mancuso of Baldwinsville; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth (Betty) Perra of Liverpool and Josephine Piccirillo of Niagara Falls, along with many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service in celebration of Rose’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday, October 2, 2015 at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
