Rose Marie "Rosie" (nee Carrozzio) Spuches' Obituary
Rose Marie “Rosie” Spuches (nee Carrozzio) passed away after a prolonged illness on February 23, 2022, at Elderwood at Liverpool. She was born March 23, 1930, in Syracuse, NY the daughter of Charles Carrozzio and Martha Reith. She was the beloved stepdaughter of Agnes Carrozzio. Rosie attended North High. She married her first husband, Edwin Williams in 1950. Rosie worked at General Electric for several years. She was married to Gregory “Gregg” Spuches for 62 years. Rosie and Gregg established Gregg’s Produce Co. where they worked side by side for over 35 years. She was a long-time parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church. Rosie loved to shop, especially for anything leopard print; she was an excellent seamstress. Rosie also enjoyed dancing and cooking holiday meals for her large family.
In addition to her parents and stepmother, she was predeceased by her son-in-law; Glenn, 1 grandchild, and two sisters; Mary and Pudgie.
Surviving, along with her husband, Gregory Spuches, Sr. are her seven children; Debi Galloway and Andy of Cincinnati, Ohio, Chuck Williams and Judy of Constantia, Ed Williams and Colleen of Remsen, Cheryl Barnes of Layton, Utah, Gregory Spuches Jr. and Debbie of Wethersfield, Connecticut, Rose Glenn of Cicero, and Stephanie Austin and Rick of Baldwinsville; 25 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 3 sisters; Charlotte Bessee of Bridgeport, Rita (Freddie) Antinarella of North Syracuse, and Carol (Lee) Hess of Kirkville; along with several nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022, at 10 am at St. Rose of Lima Church followed by entombment at Our Lady of Peace Mausoleum, Baldwinsville. Family and friends may call on Thursday, March 10, 2022, from 4 to 6 PM at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. Rose of Lima Church.
