Rose (Cardarelli) Stagnitta's Obituary
Rose (Cardarelli) Stagnitta, 86, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Antonio and Loretta (DeMarcs) Cardarelli. Rose was a graduate of North High School and received overseas orders for Carrier Corporation, retiring after 40 years of service. She loved spending time with her family and looked forward to family gatherings.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Philip Stagnitta in 1996. Rose is survived by her loving daughter, Laurene R. Isgro of Liverpool; her two brothers, Joseph (Eunice) Cardarelli of Virginia and Armand (Florence) Cardarelli of Maryland; a sister, Theresa VanCott of Liverpool; sister-in-law, Josephine (Wayne) Smith of Syracuse along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rose's family would like to express a special thank you to all the doctors and nurses at St. Joseph's Hospital, Palliative Care Unit and also to the staff at Rosewood Heights Nursing Home for taking such great care of her.
A funeral service in celebration of Rose's life will be held by Rev. Robert Glass on Tuesday, October 22, 2013, 10:00 am at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME on Monday, October 21, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rose's memory may be made to St. Joseph's Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, 301 Prospect Avenue, Syracuse, NY.
